Digestible Waste

Hornigold Haulage transports digestible waste around the country from one active digester and use this to seed new digesters. This can also be used as a fertiliser.

Digestate waste is the material remaining after the anaerobic digestion of a biodegradable feedstock.

Anaerobic digestion is the process where organic materials are broken down by microorganisms in the absence of oxygen producing renewable energy and bio-fertiliser. It is recognised by the government, Defra, Friends of the Earth and the National Farmers Union as one of the best methods for food waste recycling and dealing with farm waste and sewage sludge.

We have specialist staff who are used to handling waste products with dedicated equipment and vehicles.
